Trauma / EMDR

Trauma

Trauma can occur after overwhelming or distressing experiences and may continue to affect emotions, thoughts, and relationships long after the event itself. These experiences can shape how individuals view themselves, others, and the world around them.

Trauma-informed therapy provides a safe and supportive environment where individuals can process these experiences at a pace that feels manageable. Techniques may help the brain reprocess difficult memories and reduce their emotional intensity.

With compassionate support and effective therapeutic approaches, individuals can move toward healing, greater emotional freedom, and a renewed sense of safety and resilience.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic approach designed to help people process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. These experiences can sometimes become “stuck” in the brain, continuing to affect emotions, thoughts, and behaviors long after the event has passed.

During EMDR therapy, guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation are used while recalling difficult memories. This process helps the brain reprocess those memories so they become less emotionally intense and easier to understand from a healthier perspective.

When facilitated by a trained therapist, EMDR can help individuals reduce the emotional impact of past experiences, allowing them to move forward with greater resilience, clarity, and emotional freedom.

Let's Talk
